How it Started

Following their graduation from U.C. Davis, Keith Adams and Rob Hunter pursued separate paths: Rob immersed himself in California's wine industry, while Keith ventured into Southern Minnesota's restaurant scene. Despite their divergent careers, both found success before joining forces to introduce Wine Country to its first British-style cheese.

Keith's journey led him to co-found Bagel Bros. in Mankato, Minnesota, after which he launched Alemar Cheese, renowned for its Bent River variety. Meanwhile, Rob's expertise in winemaking, showcased at esteemed vineyards like Markham and Sterling. Rob is currently the winemaker at Bennet Lane in Calistoga. The reunion of these old friends resulted in William Cofield Cheesemakers, an artiscan cheese plant located in The Barlow in Sebastapol, California, promising a fusion of tradition and innovation in taste and friendship.
